Management:
Lacey Rushing:
After graduation Lacey pursued a higher education at
Parkland College. During the winter of 2006 Lacey determined
that she wanted to be an independent business owner. Since
She was pursuing a degree in Massage Therapy, it seemed logical
that a business in this area would be the logical direction to
follow. First things first however. Lacey knew she
needed to obtain her Illinois Massage Therapists license and
complete her degree at Parkland. She did this, and graduated
in August of 2010 and became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic
Massage and Bodywork.
With Lacey's strong drive to help others she also chose to work
during this time period at Carle Hospital in the Heart Center as a
CNA, then advanced to the Cardiac Department administering EKG and
other advanced diagnostic procedures.
Lacey chose not to stop here however. After obtaining her
certification in Swedish massage, Lacey went on to obtain
certifications in Pregnancy massage, Aromatherapy massage, Deep
Tissue massage, Hot Rock massage. These advanced
certifications have provided Lacey with over 750 hours of
training.
Again, Lacey did not stop there. Her desire to help those
in need led her to pursue an advanced certification in
Lypossage. The treatment is a specific blend of massage
modalities that are derived from physical therapy, including
lymphatic drainage and deep tissue release. Lypossage
cleanses the body of stagnant, stalled lymphatic fluid (lymphodema)
that can create the lumps and bulges we know as figure imbalance.
The deeper Lypossage strokes break up adhesions under the skin
that can contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite.
Lypossage also tones the muscles, lifting and firming sagging
tissue.
Lacey's interests include: Working out, being active,
especially in the outdoors, high-adventure activities, and helping
others. And most importantly--spending time with her
family.
Kirsten Taylor:
Kirsten was born and raised in a small town just 20
miles east of Champaign. Although a country girl at heart, she
has always loved the glamor and fast paced life of the beauty
industry. During 2006, her senior year at Heritage High School,
Kirsten job shadowed in the Spa industry. She then completed
an extensive report on being an esthetician. Her dreams
were set.
After obtaining her Associates Degree from Parkland College in
2008, Kirsten decided to follow her love of skin care and make
up. She pursued an advanced degree in esthetics and
graduated from Paul Mitchell, one of the most elite programs
in the country. Just one year out of school she had already built
an experienced resume, working as an esthetician in three of the
most successful Spas in Champaign Urbana. She furthered her
education by pursuing some advanced treatment skills in the med-spa
realm. Putting these skills to use she performed laser
treatments at a local doctor's for several months, adding to her
already impressive list of credentials and experience.
Even before working in the beauty industry Kirsten had a strong
desire to work in the service industry. Loving the daily
interaction with her clients, her true passion has always been to
help people, and make them feel beautiful about themselves, inside
and out.
Kirsten enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
She also has philanthropic aspirations to create an organization
that provides for the needy children of her home town.
